  Buttermilk Fried Chicken was amazing. Great atmosphere. Family Friendly. So many TVs to watch sports and we all loved the wood fired oven pizza. Great spot for families in Amherstburg to go for lunch and dinner or even those looking to make the drive from Windsor/LaSalle.

  After reading others reviews of The Fort, I find it hard to believe this is same place we were at, or experience we had.. It stared by first impression as we entered the restaurant, We were told at just after opening we couldn't be served alcohol as the server had no keys for liquor cabinet also no TV's as remotes were locked in Cabinet. We notice a table menu offering pizza and wood fire pizza, when inquiring if either was available were told not till after 4, as oven were just turned on.. but no we're was that posted in menu. There was not enough cutlery roll up at table and none were offered by server... The time from ordering and receiving food was well close to an hour, there was our table of 6 and on other couple. And when food finally arrived just about every meal was wrong or served to wrong person. Fries instead of soup, soup instead of fries, wings were ordered Naked, which for reference is no batter.. the server responded with you ordered sauce on side , which the wings came sauced, and none were offered as replacement or discounted, one of us ordered extra crispy fries, and were yet served to wrong customer, and again instead of offeering replacement, they were eaten, and not questioned after why weren't they eatin. Club sand which easily one of items should be with our fault, but bread was so wet and soggy, it couldn't be eaten.. on one positive note, we were credited a pitcher of draft. We were told it was fault of kitchen, for these mistakes, and cause we had so many changes to the menu it was confusing to server. At no time did a manager, or Owner come and discuss any of these issues.. it has been informed that owner doesn't response to reviews. So it's at your own risk to visit The Fort.
